Our playgroup sponsored a fun event for International Talk Like a Pirate day. As you can see from the slideshow, some of the children even dressed up like pirates. One of the moms, Emily, planned and orchestrated the whole event. She had games for the mighty toddler pirates and even chocolate covered banan pirate ships. They were adorable and yummy. Sophia was too young to make a pirate hat or do the pirate crafts but she still enjoyed talking with the other Mates. She was so good that day that she did not have to walk the plank and that is a good thing, because she would likely have fallen in, although she did walk along ground holding onto the park bench a few times. Argh! Land Ho Matey!
