I have a kid that absolutely loves things in nature. She brings home every leaf, stick, rock,and the occasional pinecone that we find when we take walks. So what's a mom to do with all these "treasures". Well, I of course throw most of them out, but I saved a couple of the pinecones to use for crafts.
I thought a pinecone looks somewhat like a turkey body. So, I told Sophia to paste some feathers on it and gave her a bag of pom poms, and a twisted pipe cleaner and now we have a mini turkey centerpiece for Thanksgiving day.
