So we heard Santa was going to be in town this week at West County Mall so we bundled up the girls in their beautiful princess ball gown Christmas dresses, winter coats, hats, gloves, etc. You get the picture. We hopped into our white magical car / sleigh / North Pole Express transporter and flew to the North Pole.
As we descended upon the parking lot we quickly discovered that Santa although very popular with the younger folks, was not on high demand on a Sunday evening.
My starry eyed children dreamily waited in the very short line trying to recall what they wanted to ask Santa to bring for Christmas.
I heard Sophia practicing saying things like, "Hi Santa. I have been very good this year. I want a Barbie with doggies and a pool, a Red Pillow Pet, a camera, and a frog.
All of a sudden it was our turn and Sophia skipped up to Santa with an excited pep in her step.
Kaylee also made her way up to Santa's lap.
Flashing lights of the papparazzi streamed out in all directions blinding the sweet celebrities of the moment as Sophia told Santa what she and Kaylee wanted.
Here Santa is listening to all her wish requests.
Then Santa said the girls could pick a stuffed animal on their way out. Of course, Sophia selected a frog.
As we walked away we heard Santa exclaim, "Merry Christmas and I will see you in a few weeks."
I looked back at Sophia and I noticed something slightly different about her, she seemed to have antlers growing out of her head in the spirit of the season as she held the new little frog.
